Sometimes, when I'm up to my elbows and nose with butter and flour, or when I'm having one of those bad frosting day, do you know what I wish for? Well, a typical house-wifey fantasy of course (not, not a maid, and not a pubescent gardener as well) but a for Eric Leong Peter Marr to spring a surprise kitchen and dining makeover in my house. I believe I'd definitely be a better baker/cook if (a) my kitchen and pantry is more organized (b) I have all the necessary bakeware and tools - which would provide me with more zen in the kitchen, I hope.
For start, my pots and pans are everywhere. I have no space for them that I sometimes have to keep then in my oven, and I'd forget all about them until I absent-mindedly preheat my oven and would smell the burning steel later. And my oven, which is so temperamental that it would often stop working while I was in the middle of baking something. And don't let me start about my stand mixer which spins out of control at the fastest setting no matter which setting I put it on. I have to keep my tea sets and glasses in a box due to space constraint, and when I have guests coming over, I'm too frazzled to take them out that I let people drink out of paper cups!
I covet for a coffee maker so that I'd have free flowing cup of joes anytime I wanted (especially during those late night bakings), and if I can get my hands on an immersion blender, I'd die a happy woman.
