*Warning, rambling bimbotic entry ahead*
When it comes to my favourite movies, I have lots that come to my mind. But ask me about my favourite actress or actor, you got me stuck there for a while. For someone who watches E! a lot, it's surprising that I have difficulty to have a favourite (probably I loved them all!). I have great respect for many actors and actresses, as great movies and good meaty roles are hard to come by. I'm a great fan of classic films, so I can watch Viviene Leigh say "As god as my witness, 'll never go hungry again!", or Audrey Hepburn say "The rain in the Spain falls mainly in the plain" over and over again.
So, who's my favourite actor? This may be debatable, but when 'favourite' is concerned, then Sandra Bullock gets my vote. I've always loved her in each of her movies, including those disastrous Speed 2 and Practical Magic, but that's the lovely thing about Sandra, she can always have a sense of humour even when her movies bombed. I loved her best when she's in romantic comedies (While You Were Sleeping, Forces of Nature, Miss Congeniality, Two Weeks Notice), but she also blew my mind in A Time To Kill, Crash and Premonition, proving that there's more to her than just the American sweetheart persona.
Now that her latest movie 'The Proposal' is showing, I can't wait to go and watch that! I'm sure it's gonna be entertaining coz the love interest in the movie is Ryan Reynolds, whom I absolutely adored since his 'Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place' days.
H1N1 or not, I'm going to the movies this weekend even if it's the last thing I do! (OK OK, I'll wear a mask.) I deserve a good break from all those flour, eggs & butter!
In the meantime, please nominate me in the Best of the Best Awards for these categories:
