Come June and Nunu would turn 30 months! Wow, it'll be easier to tell people her age soon, exactly 2 1/2 months instead of boggling them with her age in odd months. Two and a half sounds soooo accurate and makes life soooo much simpler.
I think I owe someone a video of Nunu singing some Indonesian songs. Was it you, Sasha? These days, she's been belting out Matta's 'Ketahuan' and her all time favourite 'Sayang-Sayang'. Sure it's cute, but too much of it drives me barking mad.
Taken while horsing around... yeah she likes to 'naik horse' and I'd jiggle her on my legs until I feel the burning sensation akin to a butt and thighs workout
So, what's up with the little girl these days? For starters, she's not that much of a little girl anymore. Alhamdulillah, she has beefed up a little and doesn't look like a scrawny kwasyiokor-stricken kid anymore. She's drinking 5-6 oz of milk 4-5 times a day now compared to the meager amounts she used to take last time, and although she has fickle tastes, she's got pretty good appetite if she likes a meal. She's plus minus two inches below three feet, so that probably makes her around 86 cm tall. I'll try to weigh her one of these days when I take her for a check-up, whenever that is.
Quick question to experienced moms, is ubat cacing necessary at this age?
Yes, Nur, that's one shirt she loved so much. It was baggy but I rolled up the sleeves and paired it with jeans and made it work. She looks adorable in it but I still haven't caught a decent full length picture of it!
She's been quite a notorious bully at school. Everyday she'd relate her day at school and she never fails to mention that she pushes Mei Mei or Fey Sheyn (what Nunu calls her other friend at school, I'm sure that's not her name!) However when I asked the teachers if they saw her being aggressive, none of them saw or heard anything. So I don't know if she was telling the truth or not. Maybe she did that a long time ago (the time I saw her with my own eyes pushing other kids) but she was confused with the term 'today', 'yesterday' or 'last time', so that everything she did, she says it happens like, today.
She stopped doing this now (for good I hope) but a few weeks ago, she's been greeting people and strangers with "Hoi!" and "Apa?!" with a very samseng attitude, but always with a cheeky grin lurking at the sides of her mouth, as if she wants people to know that she's not serious (or disturbed) and she's only joking. I've corrected her whenever I can that it's not nice to say those things (apart from a host of other not so nice things she's been saying and doing) and I haven't seen that pattern of behaviour repeating.
I'm quite excited to report that Nunu has shown good interests in drawing and doodling these days and not so obsessed with TV watching. Our carpet always have bits and pieces of her kontot crayons. Two weeks ago, she surprised me by drawing a circular face with eyes, nose and mouth (they just scribbles, but they're still body parts, according to her) and when I asked, "Where are the arms?", she scribbled at the appropriate two places and said, "Arms!"
"But where are the legs?" She proceeded to scribble the legs appropriately underneath the arms and announced "Ni Kakak!" Okay... she learnt this from the brothers of course, and it blew me away indeed.
