It's not an easy thing setting up a date with my Mom and Dad. Mom usually has her religious classes in top priority and she still works 5-6 days a week. And Dad, well... he works all the time. So when both of them were free last Sunday afternoon, it's like winning a jackpot.
But how did we spend the afternoon? Well, roaming the nearby mall, of course. Unoriginal, but we haven't done that in what? 8-10 years already? We tried to walk aimlessly and window shop like normal people, but Mom and Dad just couldn't fake it. After looking at some shoes we had no intention of buying, we went straight to the one place we had in mind - the massage chairs!

Look at the price! Don't worry, we weren't out of our minds getting a chair for that price!
Being the massage chair virgin that I was, I howled and stifled painful cries as the largish machine swallowed and squeezed my legs and pounded on my shoulder blades. I don't know, this can't possibly beat the loving hands of my man. However, Mom's pretty much set her mind on this.

The main attraction for a 2 year old - multi coloured ballons!
Somewhere near the outlet, there's this kiosk selling freakishly furry animal rides and balloons. What I hate about going to malls is I always give in to buying Nunu balloons that are ridiculously priced. I almost peed in my pants when the salesgirl told me the price of this Minnie balloon!

And so flimsy too! Oh well, at least Nunu had a ball punching and bullying Minnie

tuh minnie dah kempis. is that before/after buying? but i agree this thing is expensive but we had one given by my mil and it lasted for a year+. bleh tahan gak.
lepas beli baru kempis minnie yg debab tu, hihi. eh really? one year plus dah rosak ke? bior betul, if liddat tak berbaloi ah beli! i dont even know how long the wty is
My Mommy never buys me ballons. She's very stingy but she does regularly buy me hot wheels.
I'm a sucker for buying balloons for Divya too - even though I know they'll be gone (popped) by the end of the day. So now, I only buy balloons from the $1 shop for her - the perfect price for her rough play!
Nunu looks happy :) - but Minnie not so....heheh
vikram, for boys, i'm sure hot wheels are waaaay better than a boring balloon
bav, that's the word. SUCKER!!! gosh should have known better. i'm never ever gonna buy a balloon that costs more rm1 from now on. and make that no more kiddy rides for nunu
Doesn't look like Minnie survived the ride home.
Innalillah...
aisey. minnie really took a beating, eh? hehehe. anyway gib's still thankfully at that stage where i can fib and say; "that thing isn't for sale,gib.." wait till he knows how to go ask the vendor sendiri!
My kids love balloons too and it's the easiest way to distract them from wanting other stuff that I'm not willing to pay for. Also helpful in nipping the whining in the butt (or should it be bud? whatever)
I normally go for the free ones... If at The Curve area for example, the family restaurants normally have them...TGIF, Movenpick...just ask, they sure give one! Also, if you see a shop with lots of balloons, chances are, they have some extra ones stashed away for those who might ask. Normally, dah siap attached to that kayu plastik thing.
I am so cheapo and muka tak malu...I know...hehehe...
usually those kind of balloon you can ask for them to blow it up until dia tight. heliums ke tu? and after that, can get free refill... like until forever. but this i know from buying balloons kat party@world ikano. dunno la if other places have that sorta policy too.
along, wakaka, buat lawak la u ni. minnie's still alive, only not kicking and floating jer
bb, cayalah u. at this age, you can still fool them. tunggu la nanti besar nunu, haha
nin, usually i'll look high and low for the free ones! but that day, malas la pulak, coz i have my parents along kan? tak syiok plak nak drag them along. and i've done that once, ask from a sales booth for their 'not for sale' balloons that they're using for decorations! but no stick, so i was the gila one chasing after the balloons when nunu got too excited playing with it
sarah, really? got free refill ke? takde pulak dia bagitau, but how? you bring the kempis balloon anytime and they'll refill for u? even if you bought it last week? wow, excellent service!
