Nunu's Mak Tok bought her a batik caftan when she came home from visiting Kelantan a few months ago, but when we tried to put it on Nunu, she resisted and scrambled away fast-fast. Boy, can that girl run.
Last Friday, I felt like wearing my caftan again after so long (it isn't the type of nightwear you would put on if you're breastfeeding a kid). So I took out hers and swishes my kain a bit, for extra effects. "Nunu, do you wanna wear this? This is a princess butterfly dress."

You bet she said yes!
Now, why do I call it a butterfly dress and not the term ' baju kelawar' like most people do? First of all, calling it a 'bat' dress surely is not as appealing to a two year old as a butterfly dress. Unless, she knows who Batgirl is, by any chance.
Secondly, during my years at boarding school, our head warden did her night rounds in the hostel in this attire and we jokingly called it her 'baju kupu-kupu malam'. Haha, those were the days. Gosh how I missed Cik Aishah, her sardonic remarks and dry sense of humour. Wickedly funny and we all love her for that.

Alahai tomeinye Nunu.... I'd love to get one for Maira but she's so lasak, I don't think the baju can last 10 minutes on her. I rarely put on dresses and skirts on her anymore. Terselak sana-sini... so tak manis... *geleng kepala*
