A SAD MOTHERS' DAY

It has been a stressful week. Like Paris, I managed to land myself in some serious shit & feel myself hitting rock bottom. So kindly excuse my melancholia as I launch into a depressive mode.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TEARS OF A WOMAN
"Mom, why are you crying?" he asked his mom.
"Because I'm a woman" she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His mom just hugged him and said, "and you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason" was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to GOD. When GOD got on the phone the man said, "GOD, why do women cry so easily?"
GOD said:
"When I made women she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort.
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. This same sensitivity helps her to make a child's boo-boo feel better and shares in her teenagers anxieties and fears.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
I gave her a tear to shed, it's hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed. It's her only weakness; it's a tear for mankind."
Maybe I need some 'Laughter is the best medicine' therapy.
How does this sound?
Woman at 20... mengancam.
Woman at 30... bermacam-macam.
Woman at 40... terancam.
Woman at 50... diancam.
Woman at 60... cannot cam.
Hahaha... Happy Mothers' Day y'all.
wow - i was deeply touched reading Tears of a Woman - in fact, would you mind if I cut and paste it into my own blog?
happy mother's day anne - hope you feel better soon. I don't know what it is about the past 1.5 weeks, but everyone seem to be having bad luck/bad news: some i cannot share, but two people i know were diagnosed to have cancer.
1. number one that was diagnosed incurable cancer - the parents came to visit him, and had a car accident on the way to the hospital.
2. number two who was diagnosed cancer the mother died of a brain haemorrhage (serious, this was only a few days ago)
3. i heard of someone who didn't pass his/her medical exams and has to change universities in a different country
4. two of my friends have not been short-listed for a medical job - they may be unemployed from this coming august.
5. my car broke down! (again!!!!)
if there had been an unlucky week - last week was it! at first i was angry about my car breaking down for the n'th time - but putting things into perspective, it's not as bad as being diagnosed incurable cancer and your parents having an accident on the way to hospital. true story.
mynn, i'm surprised you're touched (ewah!) since the verse has been circulating in emails for quite some time. I'm glad however, to know tht someone has read it for the 1st time & doesn't find it boring (hehe). I'm sorry to hear about the bad news. truth is, everybody has their own sets of problems & it's always good to think that you're always luckier than most people.
