I notice that almost everyone is moving in slow gear these past few weeks. I'm not spared from this affliction too, mostly due to being holed up at work, I can't think straight from this cluttered mind of mine.
So here's another self-indulgent post about how much I love Mandy Moore. Inspired by pinky's post about her penchant for sappy love stories.
I used to HATE her when she first came out with "Candy", and LOVED Britney instead with her "Hit Me Baby" video. I accused her of being the slutty wannabe who couldn't carry a tune (when in actuality, I envy her blond locks, stick thin figure & perfect skin)
But as time went by, she earned my respect by belting out acceptable tunes like the song above, ditched that annoying bubble-gum image & played a range of characters rather convincingly in her movies. I began to carry a torch for Mandy, particularly because I think she has a good head on those shoulders & a different persona from all the other former pop-princesses of the early 2000s (erm, maybe her wholesome image is more believable than Britney's)
I see that she carries herself well too, especially in interviews and some shows I saw she hosted. She seems real & doesn't have those superstar air about her.
This can be considered as a personal meme, a pointless rambling. But, I'm doing this for fun. So, who's your favourite pop princess? Sapa rajin, sila jawab :)

I despise Pop Pricesses... But I like Pop Princes... MJ anyone. Haha..That is soo 80's.

My fav pop princess, back in the 80s was Madonna. She is now the Queen, of course.

It may sound harsh, but I feel it is appropriate... I would still be using 'dislike' if not for Miss Britney, who transformed from the nice girl next door to the leather tights Madonna kissing woman (just before she marry K-Fed). That crushed my faith in Pop Princesses... huhu... quite traumatic (or dramatic) for me.
some of them got so many issues to deal with hor... thts why i like fuss free miss moore. There's still hope for pop
