A SOLID START

I dont think I've ever mentioned in here that Nunu is a very, erm, expressive drinker/eater eversince she was a teeny-weeny infant. While in my confinement period at Mama's place, one can hear her loud, greedy suckling sound way from across the living room and kitchen. She's go chomp, chomp, chomp, much to anyone's amusement, that this little creature, only 2.8kg at birth, could make such noisy, un-girly racket.

Now the sounds that she makes while nursing differs from time to time. She's much calmer now, and she usually hums (yes, hums!). However, I'm starting to doubt that milk alone is enuff for her. She's downing almost 7oz per feed (if she's on the bottle, which is a good way to measure how much she's really drinking, compared to breastfeeding) and each time she whimpers, especially at night, I was afraid she's getting too hungry.

So yesterday was a perfect day for my maiden attempt to experiment on Nunu's new diet: a very watery, all natural rice porridge mixed with some EBM.


Quick, momma. I can't wait anymore!


The first spoonfull, was met with an almost automatic reaction - blueergh.

Well, she didn't look so happy with her 1st meal. See her 'muka tak puas hati'? Maybe it tasted different from what she anticipated. Heck, I dunno, maybe she was still sleepy. She only took a few spoonfulls, and later gave a loud burp, so I reckon she's pretty full.

However, this morning at breakfast, her unfavourable response is longer a bugaboo - as she almost finished the whole bowl!
