FGF #16: CAN I KEEP YOU?

Do pardon my sappiness. Have been in a nostalgic mood all week long. A few nights ago before turning in for the night, I was going through an old autograph book from my boarding school days when I found the lyrics of 'Remember Me This Way' written by friend, and I went, "Oh my gosh, Casper!"

I almost ran immediately downstairs, to look for the movie and Devon Sawa on the internet (didn't I say I'm such a youtube fiend?") but of course, I have better priorities (namely sleep and er, sleep), but I've found the clip I've been looking for.

Teen girls who have watched this for the first time would know what I mean. All the girls in that English class (which year was it eh dB? F.3?F.4) clapped and cheered, sighed and sobbed. And I'm sure each one of us went ga-ga over Devon Sawa either openly or privately. Ah even we goody goody girls secretly harboured a crush on any blond-haired, blue-eyed lad at one point of our lives, don't we? Hmmm, blame it on our sporting teachers for not depriving us of the subject of teen love!

Then I remembered another famous kiss between the same to actors in another movie we watched together, and found this!

Gleefully, I watched this over and over again. First it was "Can I keep you?", next it was "Can I kiss you?" Totally hilarious. And sweet. I'm totally engulfed in adolescent emotions and aching nostalgia.

What could've triggered this need for frivoulous form of escapism? Prolly the fact that I have only days left before I fit into the 30-40 years age demographic! Boohoohoo, I need to feel young!
