BITTER BUTTER

This was what she was up to a couple of nights ago.



I left her playing on the kitchen floor right behind me. She was awfully quiet & you know what experienced moms tell us, "If the kids are too quiet, they must be up to no good".

Of course, I thought about it while I was cleaning the chicken in the sink, but for once I'd like to give my daughter the benefit of the doubt & didn't think she could cause any trouble just by playing on the floor - right behind me summore.

So I didn't turn around & look at all. Until I finally heard a soft, but desperate, " Ma-mah!"

She's got butter on her lashes, so she couldn't see.

As expected, she didn't get a scolding or a smack from me for ruining a good pack of butter & smearing it all over the kitchen floor. I guffawed & slapped my legs & ran to get my camera.

I could have gone completely barmy looking at her condition, but I plucked her out from the mess, put her on the seat & snap some pictures for evidence to present to her Abah later.

Look at that face. She even managed to get butter on her chest, behind her ears, the insides of her legs & in between her toes. Spent a good 15 minutes scrubbing her face & body & still she came out smelling like raya cookies.
