YOU GIVE ME FEVER... FEVER *JENG*!

So the tooth fairy came somewhere during the raya holidays, blew her fairy dust at Nunu & wallah! she has those white jagged incisors bulging in her gums. Got lotsa money under her pillow summore!

It's about time. I'm about to think that I have a prodigy here. There's this old chinese belief that if a child is 'delayed' in the tooth & hair department, and especially in their physical developments like crawling, walking & talking - the child actually has a little bit more 'up' there. I don't know, chinese people belief lah - and Martian too. That's why he opposes the use of walkers & high chairs (huh???)

Back to the teething topic, I've been expecting symptoms like swelling, excessive salivation (fancy word for drooling, eh? LOL so far Nunu doesn't drool much) & extra crankiness, but when she was down with fever a week before raya, it didn't occur to me she might be cutting her first tooth (yeah, hoping she's a genius, guilty!) Only after the fever passed and my finger felt something sharp when feeding Nunu some rice did we carry out further inspection.

It's difficult taking a pick of her little chompers, even when she's asleep. Sorry I can't do much about the picture quality.

Back to the topic of fever, I wonder this week's episode of fever & lung infection got anything to do with Nunu taking her first 3 steps at the nanny's place last Monday (yeah, and I wasn't there to witness it. Boo hoo!). I remember the elders relating fever with 'tukar bulan' or 'nak pandai apa-apa'.

Very 'pandai' all right! Scraped her chin (again!) and upper lip this time.

This is the closest picture of her taking her steps that I can get.

Eeeeehhhhh, gerammmm!

Will... not.... give up!

kelakar lah gambar nunu yang last sekali tu anne. geram dengan apa dia tu agaknya.

for sarah and amar, puan mama sarah and I used a vtech walker. both could walk just prior to their 1st birthday. also, i used to really put effort in making them stand and walk even though they were just several months old.

regarding teething, it's so funny when they first started to have teeth kan anne? even now i'm still fascinated with amar's teeth (my favourite to amar: "tengok gigi, tengok gigi amar..."

mama sarah, u didnt. i think i messed up my dates, hehe.

aisyah, ur nenek bishan pok2 ur feet to make u walk faster? if she wants u to talk fast, how? pok pok ur cheeks?

aniq, dun get the wrong idea! i dun think the belief works tht way? surely a baby who can walk at an earlier age is *erk* stupid, kan? not make senses lah

ajab, her steps were quick ones as if she was running!

mynn, the reason why i didnt get her a walker is i was afraid it will end up like most of her 'harta-benda' - white elephants!

haney, the smartest thing she does i think so far is 'talking' to my cell phone!

naja, itu pasal lah sarah & amanr pandai senyum nampak gigi ye tak?
