Girls (and boys - OKlah I won't leave you out), introducing Malaysia's first astronaut (first candidate actually), Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, 34, the Chosen One, HUKM medical doctor, part time model & co-business owner of the popular Rebung restaurant.

Yeaaaaaah, I know *passing wet tissues to wipe off the drools*

Hubba hubba *sighs*swoons*faints*
He was chosen out of 12,000 applicants and passed all physical, mental & medical tests with flying colours. I'm not sure whether they went on with the online vote. But if they did, I'm not surprised he got chosen.

How does it feel to be a 'backup'? Pak Lah tak pandang pun kat you....
Oh, the 3rd person from the left is Dr. Faiz, the second candidate. He could still be in it, hokay. I read somewhere that Yuri Gagarin was a backup too. And did you know that both of them have signed a contract to NOT get married until 2008???
Well, I have nothing against Malaysia spending millions on this project.
But here's where it got really tacky. Can u imagine him making teh tarik in space for a physics experiment? You gotta be kidding me! If that's not enough, they're gonna introduce some Malaysian cuisine to the Russians *slaps forehead*
All this in the name of Malaysia the Bolehland and "bringing Malaysian customs to the attention of a worldwide audience". Instead of coming up with a mind-blowing, earth shattering research, why not just conduct a mini demonstration instead that is so close to our hearts (and tummy) and try to pass it off as a valid scientific experiment.
I'm sure he's gonna execute the 'tea-pulling' ceremony with his megawatts sparkling pearlies straining his jaw when he's actually wishing he can roll his eyes in disgust instead and wondering what has he done in his lifetime to be condemned to this publicity stunt.
I'm not sure what to think. Is it a 'cheap' experiment, or an expensive 'experiment'?
Brilliant. Just brilliant. People will laugh, but they will take notice of us, Malaysia.
