SCUMBAG

Apologies to Mama Nabi. I need to rant in Manglish & Malay here.

"Hello Mr. Dotdotdot. It's me here. So how? Can we come to your office today to install the modem for you?"

"Actually ah, someone told me the market price for the PC is around RM500, you know."

"Eh, no lah. Cannot be. It's a P4 PC, with a 256mb RAM & 40Gb Hdd plus a very good agp card. No one can sell it at RM500 unless there's something wrong with the PC. The one I sent you is refurbished, from US. Got warranty 3 months."

"Nolah, I think the best thing is you take back the PC lah..."

"Cannotlah. You've already taken the PC since May & you haven't paid for it. You said you want a modem so now we're installing for you FOC. I called you since 2 weeks ago to, but you keep delaying. You keep asking me to come tomorrow-tomorrow. How"

"Nolah, I already talked to Sham, ah. He's a very good friend of mine OK. So..... blablabla the PC doesn't serve any purpose to me. You can take back the PC..."

Kepala hotak hang. Macam bagus sangat???. "Look Mr. Dotdot, you cannot return it. You've already signed the invoice & DO since May. We've been waiting for your payment and now you cannot just return the unit. I cannot re-sell it coz the warranty period is over. Otherwise the customer will be cheated of the warranty."

"Nooo, blablabla.... *can't remember what he's crapping coz my head just got hotter* best thing is you come collect the PC today."

Aku dah naik hantu dah ni. With my best constrained voice, "That's the best thing for you. Cannot conveniently cancel your order. It's not good doing business with you like this lah." My blood is boiling upstairs oredy...

Oooh now dia sudah marah. "You don't start using harsh words to me, ah. If you want I can use harsher words to you, you know. Blablabla - take back the PC lah *click*

The SOB.

Called Hubby.

"You tengok you punya insurance agent ni. You dok buat lagi insuran kat dia. Punya baik la dok member dengan dia, no. Putaq belit. Putaq alam. Penipu besaq. Hindu gila. Kat you dia cakap lain, kat I cakap lain. I nak tengok dia punya PC yang dia boleh dapat RM500 tu macam mana rupa. Bahalol. Ingat dia baguih sangat blablabla. I want you to call him right now & maki dia habih2."

"Mana boleh. Nanti kalau i nak claim insuran kat dia, susah pulak."

When I rely on hubby to get back to that bastard, that's the meek reply that I get. He's soooo good at dissing people & tell people what's wrong with their assholes - but he can't do anything because the bastard is his f***ing insurance agent!!!

I ranted all I wanted in the office, and then I rationalized. Together with the relevant documents, I attached a note :

"To whom it may concern, kindly allow my delivery personnel to collect the following item due to failure of payment. Thank you"

I got cheated a few times, but this is the first time I fought back. I broke down many times, and I teared unnecessarily, but I'm always on my feet again after dusting off the anger and frustration. I harbour no regret. Although I lost, (customer is always right unfortunately is still the motto) there's always something to gain. I feel so defeated, but at the same time I feel empowered.

That's business, I suppose. Need to be strong now.

Ha, to those who care, jangan sekali-kali buat insurance dekat MCIS Zurich.

Pleaaaaaassssssssseeee spread the 'evil' for me :p

Did you consider taking legal action against this fella? I mean he had signed the DO and invoice. Contract's binding in my view. Is there like a Small Claims Tribunal in Malaysia like they have in Singapore where you can go to seek legal recourse?

i'm reading your entry, and MY blood is boiling!
what about what moby suggested? surely legal action is a possibility?
so, anne, i gather from the entry you sell computers? :) my dream job man, after being a game-tester.
oh btw my brother & (our friend) dyanna also live in penang.

moby

Anne, tumpang lalu, eh .... :D

Mynn, I think the problem is with the Spam Karma thingy. Anyway, whatever it was, your comment came through, so I hope it doesn't happen again.

moby, i did. I consider doing a lot of other things to him too tht involves a molotov cocktail & a cabbage patch doll :) but like i said, it's best not to extend the confrontation. juz not worth it. it's just 900 bux (tp kedekut siot) If my husband's car needs insurance claim, how? Mesti sangkut punya. So just let it be. May God's retribution befall instantly on him

mynn, actually my resentment for him started wayyyyyy back when he stood me up 3 times for our appointment (konon dia nak beli laptop la) Gila takde budi bahasa punya orang la dia tu, tp dgn hubby i punya la baik jilat kasut (client la konon). I had a bad feeling abt this since we supplied him with the PC tapi i buat bodoh je coz hubby yg buat deal dgn dia, not me. So u understand why i become hostile so quickly (which is sooo unlike me)

your dream job ke? Kalau jadi boss mcm i pening wif all kinda problems. Jadi technician boleh la, relaks je kat belakang mengadap PC ok

dyanna i know. visited her blog. ur bro yg mana ek?

hehe i donch mind you guys nak lalu2 & chat2 here. Oh tht spam karma thingy - juz ignore it. It'll come thru sooner or later

Hmmm ... karma, retribution. :D

On another note, maybe it's time to change insurer? Friend or not, this is not the way to conduct business.

Ugh, this is why I wouldn't like to do business with hubby's friends... (No need to apologize, I got the gist of your frustration! Manglish, eh? Korean-English is Konglish.. hee hee) Isn't there some kind of law that says you can't return a merchandise after x number of days?
