FOOD CHART

A few days feeding Nunu blended rice with a mixture of carrot puree and vege soup, I was stumped. What else can I feed her? Asked a few people and they said that's about it. Some suggested those baby food in jars.

Hmm - no thanks. I want Nunu's food to be as natural as possible. I feel the need to prepare my baby's food myself, since I have made the wrong move letting her to be partly on Nan. The booklet that I got from the Consumers' Association of Penang the hammers on commercial baby food so much I think I'm so influenced by it, its affecting my diet even.

As natural as possible.

So I searched for info and thank God, I found this site : wholesomebabyfood.com.

Thanks to the food chart provided, Nunu has tried pureed apples, pears, potatoes and some 'popeye' soup. She likes her fruits straight from the fridge cold!

So maybe this weekend I'll experiment with sweet pumpkin or sweet potato - or maybe some tofu! Hey if I want Nunu to eat healthy up to teenhood, I'd better start early.

heriati & eranta- u're welkam. eh betul yek allergic? thts why la we dont really know whts inside those bottles & packages. Even Farley's are laden with sugar. Its hard to trust which ones are really ok, but if we have a choice AND time, our babies will be much healthier with home-cooked food.

missy, hi! can u be any cuter??? with bonnet and all. hey tell ummi not to be so hard on herself. BFing is a very tough job, u'know. But even if u're on formula, u'll still grow strong n healthy so dun worry.

hana, i'm pretty hopeless in the kitchen too, but baby food is a no-brainer. we dun have to hear them complain if they dont taste nice!

Ibu is a bit lazy (not a bit...a LOT!!) so she started me on some sample packs of nestle of brown rice given by my paed. Dr Kumar (not the one from rara show!) gave me soooo many packets of brown rice and it was love at first taste. Nenek bought me some farleys and I liked it too...but one day, I puked a whole bowl of Farleys I just ate in the afternoon and I decided not to eat it anymore after that. Nenek says I have developed a phobia to Farley or anything which taste like it.

im eating brown rice in the afternoon and vege rice cereal in the evening for dinner. I do get nice stuffs like sweet potato, pears, peas, bananas, pumpkins after my dinner...pureed one, of course!

btw...call me aisyah pls...ubi kentang is wat Ayah and Ibu calls me. dunno why..mebbe de resemblance of an ubi kentang? hehe.
