I cannot understand why my milk supply seems to be dwindling these few days, when I’m currently expressing 3 times a day and diligently stuffing myself with papayas & quaker oats every morning with supplements of Wyeth Mama, Elken’s Spirulina, Betathon and some makjuns, courtesy of Mum.
So yesterday evening, out of sheer frustration for having a measly 3 oz coming out of me, I tried this (warning! Graphic details inside)
I wasn’t really expecting it would work, when lo and behold, more milk came jetting out! With manual expression, I managed to get another ounce, which completes Nunu’s needs per feed (hey,sounds like a tongue twister). Sure, an ounce is pittance, but of course I need more practice in this area since this hopeless generic brand (read: cheap) pump I’m using looks like it’s wearing out.
I think I need some sort of lactation booster. I just finished a litre of soy bean drink at work today. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.

ahhh i'll try that out, but i find massaging also helps... i pump abt 4oz per boob (so total of 8oz), but ONLY in the morning when i wake up coz baby sleeps thru the nite so it accumulates. i doubt i can pump even 80ml the rest of the day though, coz he drinks every few hours, so they're lembik and leper throughout the day. haha! (eeks, was that too much info?? yikes.)
